Family Criticises Trust Over Death

A sad story on bbc news this one. This type of poor care really need to stop. Personally, every time I visit a hospital, I usually have very little confidence in the health professionals other than an experienced doctor. I wonder if it's something to do with the way they interact with patients, because I don't experience similar doubts when I go to see my dentist, who I know is very good and will personally carry out most of the treatment. In a hospital, you are passed from one person to the next and to be honest, I would not hire some of the staffs I have previously interacted with for my own company, let alone trusting them to look after my health. Don't get me wrong, I have seen some truly exceptional nurses, therapists, technicians...etc, but patients should not have to expect anything less or be exposed to accidents as the result of any sub-standard care or poor management. Poor granny

Someone just sent me this video where a poor old lady was screaming in fear as a young lad lifted and started to "spin" her, whilst the guy's friends watched and laughed at her. Something is really wrong with our society if people think picking on an old lady is "funny".  I just hope that the old granny doesn't have a revengeful family. Although it is probably too late now. The guy is now a common target worldwide. I don't even want to imagine what people will do to him. ********* Do you use wifi in public places or travel abroad often?   Somewhat horrified to find that this kind of injustice is happening in our own country. Surely it's common sense to realize that leaving people in the prison indefinitely not for their crime but because the paperwork cannot be processed fast enough or the "behaviour management courses" only have limited seats is completely unacceptable.  And many of these are young adults too. Sending them to prison to mingle with other "more experienced" criminals is bad enough; telling them that they will be in prison indefinitely is simply ending all hope in those that we are trying to rehabilitate.   The worst part is that now that we know it's wrong and not working, and there is unjust and unnecessary suffering in the prison system, the existing cases will have two choices - continue their suffering beyond their crime and wait for their turn to be processed in a few years, or kill themselves. The system cannot put in more resources to correct its failing...
