Rent-A-Granny Service

You may have heard about renting a date, but do you know that these days you can also rent a granny? This rather creative babysitting service has proven quite popular in Europe, by pairing up busy parents and retired "grannies" with more spare time on their hands. 


And in some cases, the grandparents get more involved in the child's live over longer periods of time, acting perhaps more like the child's real grandparents. This type of arrangements have said to enrich the lives of the elderlies who may not have grandchildren of their own, by bringing a child into their lives. 

I have to applaud the ingenuity of the entrepreneur that came up with this win-win idea for all participating parties. Although how do you ensure the safety of the child under such arrangements may be a tricky issue.

How to Fix PS5 Pro Lag/Stutter Issue

After a recent patch update, my PS5 started acting strangely, with increasingly noticeable lag issues while editing videos in Share Factory. I also noticed that some games weren’t running as smoothly as before. After doing some digging, I came across a helpful Reddit thread where others reported similar problems. One popular suggestion was to do a power cycle, which slightly improved things- but the issue still lingered. What can be done about Food Waste?

This BBC business report shows some staggering statistics of how much food is being wasted globally. And apart from household waste, a lot of food actually never made it to our fridge. It is encouraging to see individual farmers partnering with local charities or businesses to make use of perfectly edible produce which were excluded by supermarkets due to less than perfect appearances. Charities and environmental agencies should actively pursue this type of win-win ideas. It is a brilliant policy (although it could take sometime for restaurants to get used to) to require New York City's restaurants stop sending food waste to landfills in 2015 and encourage the use of alternative operations. However, I do hope that restaurant businesses are not financially worse off because of these new requirements.
