Endings on the last page

"Hello old friend. And here we are, you and me, on the last page."

One simple sentence, with only a few words, yet carry so many emotions and memories that we can all relate to. The story from which this was extracted is somewhat complicated, which involves a time traveller writing a book with messages to her friend (another time traveller) that is in the future which can no longer travel to the past to see her - the only thing left was a goodbye message at the end of this book...

I am a big fan of Dr. Who, not really because of the aliens (you do get used to that) but like most people in the UK, you just grow up with it. It evolves though seasons and generations, each reminds you of the period of time in your own story. The stories are essentially "human" problems, and kind of reflect your own problems in life, the happiness and sorrows, good and bad days, family and friends. Before you know it, you have become part of it.

I like these two companions of the Doctor the most, as their story started at a special time in my own story. It is always sad to see the ending, knowing it's the end of a great story and see familiar characters and friends go, after they have accompanied you though so many years.

Goodbyes can be difficult, but we already know that is part of life. All things started, good or bad, eventually will end. The bad ones we can do without, and the good ones we will miss and reminisce. I suppose what is important is to live fully in the good moments, treasure every bit when it is still now.
