There is a strange gap on my wall!

Admittedly I am not as terrified as the young Amelia Pond from Dr Who, but it is quite annoying to have the puzzling gap between my posts.

The same thing persists even when I tried a different template.

After some searching online, I found this nice blog:

A nice blog with lots tutorials, with eacy to understand tips for begineers. Found it really useful, and of course, I found the solution to my GAP problem.

It was useful to learn about ID and Classes, which are names of the elements in your blog. ID relates to one unique elementn, whereas a Class call on a gourp of elements. In CSS, you address an ID by using a hash (prefix), whereas when you address a class, you use a dot (.) prefix. So, in my case, I have used a class called date-outer.

ID of gadgets can be found quite easily. On your blog, at the bottom right corner of each gadget, there is a tool/edit sign.

Click on the sign will bring you to edit the content of the gadget:

At the end of the address bar, there is the ID of your gadget. In my case, it is called HTML2. It is case sensitive I think.

Ok, problem solved, now I need a nap. Zzz...

  1. Actually, there is a simpler solution.
The gap was actually caused by the option to show adverts in between posts.

The gap can be removed by going to layout, edit the post window, and uncheck the option.
